Satsang is an invitation to deepen your spiritual practice and cultivate a profound connection with yourself and the divine. It is the main event at the ashram each week.

Each satsang features a transformative mix of ecstatic kirtan (call and response chanting of mantras) and meditation. The heart of each satsang is an inspiring spiritual discourse where Swami Shankarananda shares wisdom teachings inspired by the great spiritual teachers throughout the ages as well as talks on Non-dual Shaiva Tantra (Kashmir Shaivism).

Study Group

Tuesdays 7.30pm $20 pay at the door

Study Group is one of the other highlights of the week in the ashram’s schedule of programs. While satsang can be a little more formal, Study Group is more casual, and invites participants to interact with Swamiji about the class content to ask questions and share experiences.

This program is perfect if you want to dive deeper into Kashmir Shaivism and yoga philosophy, not only intellectually but experientially.

Hatha Yoga

The Ashram hosts a variety of weekly yoga classes taught by master teachers, including Tantric Vinyasa, Yin, and Pregnancy/Post-Natal yoga.

Shiva Process Groups

Wednesday 7:30pm

Guided Self-inquiry groups for meditation graduates. If you'd like to participate in these groups but have not done the introductory course, please contact us.

Also known as the Life-Sustaining program, this is your 'drop in and close your eyes' event. Perfect for getting your weekly deeper meditation into your schedule. Low effort, great reward!

Guru Gita Chant

The Guru Gita (Song of the Guru) is a 182 verse hymn to the Guru Principle, the mystical grace bestowing power of the divine, found in the ancient scripture the Skanda Purana.
